Service Manager — Roka Akor Chicago

Roka Akor Chicago is seeking a Service Manager who is passionate about hospitality, leads by example, and knows how to create an exceptional guest experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing a team, building guest relationships, and keeping service running smoothly in a fast-paced, upscale restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily floor operations and uphold high standards of service and hospitality.
• Coach, train, and support the front-of-house team.
• Build relationships with guests and handle concerns with professionalism and care.
• Partner with the management and culinary teams to deliver a seamless dining experience.
• Support staff scheduling, service preparation, and daily operational needs.
• Contribute ideas that drive guest engagement, repeat visits, and sales.

Qualifications

• Restaurant management or supervisory experience is preferred, ideally in an upscale or fine-dining setting.

• Experienced servers who are ready to move into management and meet the other qualifications are encouraged to apply and will be considered.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• A hands-on approach and a commitment to team development.

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Marketing experience is a plus

• Beverage knowledge and experience are a plus

Shifts: Day, Night

50 hour average work week, 10 hour shifts per day. Two days off per week.
