Service Manager

Connecting Families is part of the Kanda family, and we’re looking for a Service Manager to lead the team in SEQ. You’ll be the person who sets the bar - how your team shows up, how participants are treated, what good care actually looks like when no one’s watching — that’s all on you, and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

This is hands-on leadership with real accountability. Close enough to the work to feel what’s at stake. Senior enough to shape how it gets done.

What you’ll be doing

• Building and leading a high-performing team of frontline support workers — setting clear expectations and holding the standard every shift
• Owning the operational side of the service — budgets, funding utilisation, mandatory reporting and compliance with NDIS legislation and restrictive practice frameworks
• Translating data and participant feedback into service improvement initiatives that make a real, measurable difference to outcomes
• Backing your team through complex and high-needs presentations with clear thinking, sound judgement and decisive action
• Cultivating strong, trusted relationships with participants, families, support workers and external stakeholders
• Creating a culture where accountability, person-centred care and continuous improvement are simply how things are done

You’re the right person if...

• You bring at least two years of service management or team leadership experience within the NDIS or a related human services environment
• You know NDIS legislation, funding frameworks and restrictive practice requirements well enough to lead a team confidently through them
• You lead people — not just manage them — and the people around you would tell you the difference shows
• You make sound decisions under pressure and stay organised when competing priorities hit at once
• You hold a Certificate IV, Diploma or Bachelor in Social Work, Community Services or a related field
• You hold or are willing to obtain a Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and unrestricted Driver’s Licence
