Service Manager - Electrical

Pacific Aire (PacAire) has served homeowners across Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles counties since 1990. Founded in Oxnard as a residential HVAC replacement company, we now deliver heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services. Position summary

The Electrical Service Manager owns PacAire's residential electrical department: its people, its numbers, and the quality of every job. You will lead, coach, and grow a team of electricians and apprentices while driving revenue, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

Team leadership

• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain skilled electricians and apprentices.
• Lead daily huddles and weekly trainings on technical skills, safety, and customer communication.
• Conduct ride-alongs, set individual goals, and deliver regular performance reviews.
• Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and respect.

Department performance

• Own the electrical department's revenue, gross margin, and labor efficiency targets.
• Track and improve KPIs: average ticket, conversion rate, callbacks, membership sales, and reviews.
• Partner with the call center and dispatch to balance workload and maximize booked capacity.
• Build and maintain flat-rate pricing and service offerings (panel upgrades, EV chargers, surge protection, generators, lighting, rewiring).

Quality, safety, and compliance

• Ensure all work meets the NEC, California Title 24, and local code requirements.
• Manage permits and inspections, and resolve correction notices quickly.
• Enforce Cal/OSHA safety standards, PPE use, and lockout/tagout practices.
• Audit completed jobs and lead root-cause reviews on callbacks.

Customer experience

• Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and promptly.
• Coach technicians to present clear options and earn trust in the home.
• Protect PacAire's reputation for honest, high-quality service.

Operations

• Manage truck stock, inventory, tools, and vehicle maintenance.
• Work with HVAC and plumbing leaders on cross-trade opportunities and shared processes.
• Use the field service management software to review jobs, estimates, and reporting.

Qualifications

Required

• California General Electrician certification (DIR), or equivalent experience and ability to qualify.
• 7+ years of residential electrical experience, including service and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years leading or supervising field technicians.
• Strong working knowledge of the NEC, Title 24, and local permitting.
• Valid California driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Preferred

• Experience in a flat-rate residential home services company.
• Track record of growing a department's revenue and team size.
• Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field service software.
