Service Manager / Workshop Foreman

About the role

Ultra Tune Bibra Lake is looking for an experienced and motivated Service Manager / Workshop Foreman to take the lead at our established Bibra Lake service centre.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to run a busy automotive workshop. You'll take ownership of the day-to-day operation, leading the team, managing workflow, supporting customers and ensuring jobs move through the workshop efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Leading with autonomy and trust
• Providing quality customer service and account management
• Taking ownership of the day-to-day operation of the workshop
• Managing workflow, job allocation and workshop scheduling
• Diagnosing, servicing and repairing a wide range of light vehicles
• Leading, supporting and coordinating a small team of technicians and apprentices
• Setting expectations and maintaining high standards across the team
• Monitoring productivity, efficiency and job turnaround
• Providing technical guidance and assisting with complex diagnostics when required
• Ensuring servicing and repairs are completed correctly and efficiently

About you

• Previous workshop management, foreman, controller or supervisory experience
• A demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate an automotive workshop team
• Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic / Technician
• Strong post-trade automotive experience
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding knowledge
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
• Confidence dealing with customers, technicians, apprentices and suppliers
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of workshop productivity
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to problems
• Current manual driver's licence
