Service Mechanic Supervisor

Job description:

Key Responsibility

• Team Leadership & Development - Lead, mentor, and monitor a team of mechanics and support staff. Assign tasks effectively and support professional growth through training and coaching.
• Operational Management- Coordinate service workflows from intake to completion ensuring service goals and client expectations are met efficiently.
• Customer Relations & Issue Resolution - Handle customer concerns professionally, maintain supplier and vendor relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction to drive repeat business.
• Manage service-level documents, work orders, orders for parts, and inventory controls.
• Implement improvements to the service desk’s productivity and record-keeping.
• Ensure work standards are met, maintain accuracy in service outputs, and enforce adherence to safety policies and regulatory requirements. Support, review, or perform necessary technical and preventive maintenance involving equipment configurations and diagnostic procedures.

• Maintenance & Technical Oversight - Diagnose heavy-duty truck issues and manage preventive maintenance schedules
• Budgeting Team - Management and budget oversight

Qualification

Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or automotive.

Experience: At least 5 to 10 years mechanical experience and supervisory/managerial expertise

Proficiency: Heavy-duty truck systems, diagnostics, safety compliance

Capable of hands-on work and physically demanding tasks

Able to drive vehicle and have driver's license
