Service Operations Data Intern

Role Overview:

As a Service Operations Data Intern at FBSG, you will apply core Computer Science principles to solve real-world operational challenges. This role is designed for a student to apply their knowledge of Database Systems, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and Algorithmic Analysis to modernize our Service Operations infrastructure.

Scope & Deliverables:

The intern will be responsible for the end-to-end development of a Service Analytics Engine. Key technical deliverables include:

• Database Schema Design & Optimization: Design and implement normalized schemas to consolidate disparate datasets, such as customer call logs and toner consumption metrics.
• Apply indexing and query optimization techniques (SQL) to ensure efficient data retrieval from large-scale service datasets.
• ETL Pipeline Development: Build automated data pipelines using Microsoft Power Automate and Python to extract raw data, perform cleaning/validation, and load it into analysis-ready tables.
• Predictive Dashboard Engineering: Develop an interactive Power BI or Tableau dashboard that utilizes statistical modeling to identify "unusual patterns" and predict future toner fulfillment needs.
• Workflow Automation & Logic Design: Architect and prototype a new end-to-end digital workflow for service fulfillment. This involves mapping complex business logic into automated triggers to accelerate approval decisions and eliminate manual bottlenecks

Who we are looking for:

• University or Polytechnic students in relevant fields (IT, Data Analytics, Computer Science etc.).
• Curious, adaptable, and eager to contribute in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Coursework: Ideally completed or be currently enrolled in Database Systems and Data Structures & Algorithms.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate or other data visualization/automation tools will be an advantage.
• Ability to perform root-cause analysis and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
