We believe in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every member can thrive and make a meaningful impact. Whether you’re just starting your career or looking to advance, Wiltshire Police offers a range of opportunities to grow and develop. Join us, and be part of a team that values courage, compassion, and dedication to public service. Help us to keep Wiltshire safe.

About our DDaT Services team

At Wiltshire Police, we're transforming policing through Digital, Data and Technology. We recognise that DDaT is no longer simply an enabler of policing; it is a strategic capability at the heart of how we protect communities, empower our workforce and deliver better public services. As we evolve from a traditional ICT function into a modern, user-centred DDaT organisation, we're embracing cloud technologies, automation, AI, data and digital innovation to create smarter, more connected and resilient services. Join us at the start of an ambitious transformation, where you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of digital policing, work with emerging technologies, influence meaningful change and build a rewarding career that makes a real difference to our organisation and the communities we serve.

About the role

As Service Owner, you will lead the vision, strategy and evolution of critical digital, data and technology services, ensuring they remain user-centred, innovative and focused on delivering meaningful outcomes. You will bring together multidisciplinary teams, data-driven decision making and continuous improvement to create services that are trusted, resilient and responsive to the needs of modern policing. This is a unique opportunity to shape how digital services support operational effectiveness, improve user experience and deliver lasting value to communities across Wiltshire.

What you will be doing

Own the end-to-end service for your assigned service domain, with full accountability for service vision, strategy, performance, outcomes, benefits and user experience.

Set, maintain and continuously evolve the service strategy and roadmap, grounded in user insight, evidence, organisational priorities and relevant standards.

Define and use service success measures and KPIs to monitor service health, prioritise improvement and demonstrate value.

Prioritise and sponsor service change, balancing user needs, operational priorities, policy requirements, risk and available funding.

Ensure proportionate governance, assurance and risk management are in place across security, resilience, compliance, data protection and operational risk.

Be accountable for live service performance, including availability, reliability, resilience and user satisfaction.

Use user feedback, operational insight and performance data to drive continuous improvement and inform service evolution, replacement or retirement decisions.

Build strong senior stakeholder relationships and create the conditions for high-performing, multidisciplinary teams with a culture of accountability, trust and user focus.

About you and your experience

You are a user-centred digital leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding user outcomes and shaping services around the needs of users.

Experienced in leading and evolving digital, data and technology services, using insight, evidence and performance data to drive continual improvement and measurable value.

Comfortable operating in a multidisciplinary environment, influencing senior stakeholders and making decisions that balance user needs, business priorities, risk and investment.

Excited by innovation and emerging technologies, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve services through modern digital approaches, automation, data and AI-enabled capabilities.
