Service Plumber

Boone Creek Plumbing is hiring experienced service plumbers to run residential and commercial service calls across Middle Tennessee. We are a locally owned and operated company and we are adding to our service team.

You will run your own truck and your own calls. We are looking for someone who can diagnose a problem, fix it right the first time, and explain it to the customer in plain language.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, repair, and replace pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures, and drainage systems in commercial and residential buildings
• Handle both routine service calls and emergency response
• Clear blocked drain lines with motorized drain machines and sewer jetting equipment
• Work from ladders and lifts to reach plumbing in attics and high ceilings
• Quote repairs to the customer and explain the options honestly
• Document each job in our software on a company iPad — clock in and out, record what you did, photograph the work
• Keep your truck stocked, clean, and inventoried

What we require

• 3+ years of verifiable experience as a lead service plumber, in both residential and commercial settings. Handyman or building-maintenance experience does not meet this requirement.
• Ability to diagnose and complete calls unsupervised, start to finish
• Working knowledge of plumbing code and safety practices
• Comfortable quoting work and talking to customers
• Your own hand tools
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record
• Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen
• Willing to take part in a rotating on-call and weekend schedule for emergency service

What we prefer

• Excavation or trench equipment experience
• Commercial maintenance-account experience

Pay and benefits

• $30.00 – $38.00 per hour, based on verified service experience and license
• Overtime at time and a half
• Company truck and fuel card after the training period (company vehicle is not for personal use)

Schedule

• Full-time, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Rotating on-call and weekend coverage for emergency service only
