Service Porter

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle various cleaning and maintenance tasks efficiently. The Porter will ensure that all areas are well-kept, providing a welcoming environment for both staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Conduct custodial tasks such as emptying trash bins, cleaning restrooms, and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Assist with residential painting projects as required to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the premises.
• Carry out floor care activities including buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
• Support commercial and industrial cleaning efforts by following established protocols for safety and efficiency.
• Maintain equipment and supplies in good working condition, reporting any issues or needs for repair promptly.
• Collaborate with facilities maintenance staff to address any immediate cleaning or maintenance concerns effectively.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial services or as a Porter is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor care methods and equipment operation is desirable.
• Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently.
• Must be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods while performing duties.
• Bilingual
