Service Porter

Are you enthusiastic about the automotive industry and eager to learn more? We are seeking an energetic person with excellent communication skills in our Porter position at Bethlehem Ford.

Candidates should have an outgoing personality and professional attitude. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license (clean driving record), Candidates must possess the ability to work in a demanding environment, on their feet in all weather conditions.

This position requires greeting customers with a helpful approach, applying protective equipment to the customer interior upon arrival, moving customer vehicles, driving customers to specified locations, bringing cars to service line for customers to leave after payment of services and cleaning drive in area / stocking duties.

As an entry-level team member, you will explore different careers. This position provides opportunity to expand your knowledge with additional training to develope into either an entry level technician, service advisor or assistant in the service department.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with their vehicle needs, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure
• Safely move, park, and retrieve vehicles using manual transmission and parking protocols
• Assist with vehicle cleaning, detailing, and basic maintenance tasks as needed to uphold dealership standards
• Support the delivery process by transporting vehicles between locations or to customers’ homes when required
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service drive area, including parking lots and vehicle storage spaces
• Communicate effectively with team members and guests to coordinate vehicle movements and address inquiries

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission preferred
• Strong guest services skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Knowledge of hospitality principles and excellent communication skills
• Previous dealership experience or familiarity with automotive environments is a plus
• Experience as a delivery driver
• Ability to operate both manual shift and automatic vehicles safely
• Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse customer needs
• Reliable transportation for daily shifts and flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed
