Position Overview

D&J Properties is seeking dependable, hands-on Service Team Members to join our growing Home Services Department.

This role is ideal for someone who has experience with cleaning and property services but is also comfortable performing work that goes beyond traditional housekeeping.

Our Service Team Members may work in vacation rentals, residential homes, offices, commercial properties, and other managed properties throughout our service areas.

The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, physically capable, comfortable using cleaning and maintenance equipment, and willing to learn multiple areas of property care.

Key Responsibilities

Service Team Members may be assigned responsibilities including:

• Residential cleaning
• Vacation rental cleaning
• Commercial and office cleaning
• Deep cleaning
• Move-in and move-out cleaning
• Bathroom and restroom sanitation
• Kitchen and common-area cleaning
• Interior and exterior window cleaning
• Trash removal
• Floor cleaning and maintenance
• Commercial floor buffing
• Carpet shampooing and extraction
• Spot treatment of carpet and flooring
• Pressure washing / power washing
• Basic pest-prevention spraying and property treatment
• Exterior property cleanup
• Screen repair or replacement assistance
• Basic handyman-related tasks
• Minor property repairs
• Furniture or equipment setup
• Property preparation before guest or tenant arrival
• Assisting Service Managers with larger projects
• Completing property inspections and reporting damage or maintenance concerns
• Taking before-and-after photos when required
• Following company cleaning, safety, and quality-control procedures

Equipment Experience

Candidates should have experience with, or be willing and able to learn how to safely operate, equipment such as:

• Commercial floor buffers
• Carpet shampooers / extractors
• Wet/dry vacuums
• Pressure washers
• Standard vacuums
• Mops and floor-care equipment
• Basic hand tools
• Cleaning and disinfecting equipment
• Basic pest-prevention equipment

Previous experience with commercial floor care, carpet cleaning, pressure washing, maintenance, janitorial work, or handyman services is highly preferred.

• Have previous residential, commercial, janitorial, maintenance, or property-service experience
• Be comfortable cleaning bathrooms and toilets
• Be willing to perform both indoor and outdoor work
• Be comfortable performing physically demanding tasks
• Be able to lift, bend, kneel, stand, and work for extended periods
• Be dependable and punctual
• Pay close attention to detail
• Follow instructions and company procedures
• Work independently when required
• Work well as part of a team
• Communicate professionally with managers, clients, owners, and team members
• Be comfortable traveling between assigned properties
• Be willing to learn additional home-service skills
• Take pride in leaving properties clean, safe, functional, and guest-ready

Transportation Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Reliable transportation
• A valid driver's license when driving is required for assignments
• The ability to travel between assigned properties and service locations

Some assignments may require transporting basic cleaning supplies or equipment.

Schedule

Schedules vary based on property needs and service assignments.

Service Team Members may work:

• Weekdays
• Weekends
• Daytime assignments
• Evening commercial-cleaning assignments
• Vacation-rental turnover schedules
• Scheduled project work

Additional hours may become available as D&J Properties adds new residential, vacation-rental, and commercial service accounts.

Training

New Service Team Members will receive company training covering applicable procedures, property standards, safety expectations, equipment use, reporting requirements, and service protocols.

Additional training may be required as team members become qualified for services such as:

• Commercial floor care
• Carpet cleaning
• Power washing
• Pest prevention
• Property inspections
• Light maintenance

Strong Service Team Members may have opportunities to advance into positions such as:

Service Manager

Service Managers take on additional responsibilities including supervising Service Team Members, overseeing property projects, conducting quality-control inspections, coordinating service assignments, and performing more advanced property-maintenance and home-service work.
