1. Service Technician

About the Role

We are looking for experienced Service Technicians to join our growing team.

The successful applicants will be responsible for attending service, breakdown, maintenance and fault-finding jobs across the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas.

You will work across a range of residential and commercial equipment and will be supported by our administration and technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled service, maintenance and breakdown call-outs.
• Diagnose and fault-find air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Complete preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Identify equipment faults and recommend appropriate repairs or replacement.
• Complete repairs and component replacements.
• Carry out testing and commissioning.
• Complete service reports and job documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts and the Berry Air team.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Follow Berry Air safety procedures, SWMS and site requirements.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and presentation.
• Work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.

Skills & Experience

• Relevant trade qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
• Experience in service and fault-finding.
• Strong understanding of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults efficiently and accurately.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Current driver's licence.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to complete accurate job documentation.

Desirable

• Experience with commercial air conditioning.
• Refrigerant handling licence.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Electrical experience.
• Experience working across commercial, council, hospitality or large-scale sites.

2. Installation Technician

About the Role

We are looking for experienced Installation Technicians to join our growing installation team.

The successful applicants will work on new installations, replacement systems and larger commercial projects across the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas.

This role would suit a technician who takes pride in quality installation work and wants to be part of a growing business with opportunities for ongoing development.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete air conditioning installations and replacements.
• Install split systems, ducted systems and commercial equipment.
• Complete pipework, electrical connections and associated installation works within trade scope.
• Carry out equipment positioning, mounting and installation.
• Complete pressure testing, evacuation and commissioning.
• Complete installation documentation and commissioning reports.
• Work from plans, specifications and installation requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organised worksite.
• Work safely and in accordance with SWMS and company procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers, builders and other trades.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Complete work to Berry Air's quality standards and timeframes.

Skills & Experience

• Relevant trade qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
• Experience in air conditioning installation.
• Strong understanding of installation practices and commissioning.
• Ability to read plans and follow specifications.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Current driver's licence.
• Refrigerant handling licence.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Desirable

• Commercial installation experience.
• Experience with ducted and larger commercial systems.
• Electrical experience.
• Experience working on construction or project sites.
• Experience supervising apprentices or junior technicians.
