Position: Service Technician for Electric Vehicles & Golf Carts
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Position Overview for Service Technician - Electric Vehicles & Golf Carts Experience

We are currently looking for a dependable, experienced, and mechanically inclined Service Technician. The Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining electric golf carts and customized electric vehicles.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting problems, working with electrical and mechanical systems, and taking pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. The technician will handle service issues from initial diagnosis through completion and ensure every cart is safe, reliable, and operating properly before it leaves the shop.

Key Responsibilities Service Technician - Electric Vehicles & Golf Carts experience

• Diagnose and repair electric golf carts and related electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot customer service issues and determine the cause of problems.
• Install, test, and replace batteries and battery components.
• Service and repair electric drive systems, motors, controllers, chargers, and electrical components.
• Diagnose wiring issues, shorts, loose connections, and other electrical problems.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on golf carts.
• Install and service stereos, speakers, lighting, and other electrical accessories.
• Install and service Cool Breeze Air Tops and other cart accessories.
• Replace windshields and other damaged or worn components.
• Repair or replace switches, gauges, lights, wiring, and electrical accessories.
• Inspect brakes, steering, suspension, tires, and other mechanical components.
• Perform preventative maintenance to help identify problems before they become major repairs.
• Complete service work according to work orders and customer specifications.
• Test-drive carts when necessary to verify repairs and identify noises, rattles, pulling, or other operating issues.
• Perform a final quality-control inspection before returning a cart to the customer.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and work completed.
• Communicate with management regarding service issues, parts requirements, and repairs requiring additional authorization.
• Keep the service area, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer recommendations.

Qualifications: Service Technician - Electric Vehicles & Golf Carts

• Previous mechanical or electrical experience preferred.
• Golf cart, automotive, marine, powersports, or similar service experience is a plus.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working with batteries, wiring, motors, controllers, and electrical accessories.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and service instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent 40-hour work week.
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
• Must take pride in workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Must bring own tools
• Drug Screening and Background check upon hire

Pay: $24.00 per hour
