Service Technician

Shamrock Group is a well-established Minneapolis-area distributor and service provider with more than 80 years in business. We provide beverage products, equipment service, refrigeration, ice, gases, and related solutions to restaurants, bars, hospitality businesses, and other commercial customers.

We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Field Service Technician who enjoys troubleshooting, working with their hands, and helping customers. Beverage equipment experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person with strong mechanical ability and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Do

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial beverage equipment.
• Service soda and beverage systems including soda guns, bag-in-box systems, carbonation systems, nitrogen systems, and related equipment.
• Assist with new beverage equipment and system installations.
• Diagnose equipment problems using schematics, technical diagrams, and hands-on troubleshooting.
• Replace faulty components and make repairs to restore equipment operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment removals.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs, equipment condition, and recommended service.
• Maintain accurate service documentation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately once every four weeks after training is completed.

What We're Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with appliance repair, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, automotive, equipment repair, or another mechanical trade is a plus.
• Ability to read or learn to read schematics and technical diagrams.
• Comfortable working independently in the field.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable, organized, and willing to learn a new trade.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Previous beverage equipment experience is not required. We are willing to train someone with the right mechanical aptitude and work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs. as needed.
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb, and work around commercial beverage equipment.
• Ability to work on your feet and travel between customer locations throughout the workday.

Schedule

• Full-time, primarily Monday through Friday.
• Some weekend and after-hours work may be required.
• On-call rotation approximately every four weeks once fully trained.
• Overtime opportunities available.

• $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience.
