Service Technician

Install, program, and service security camera systems, access control units, and security equipment for commercial and residential clients. Work includes system setup, configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and customer-facing support at retail and private properties.

Key responsibilities

• Install and program IP and analog security cameras, recorders, and monitors.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot access control systems.
• Install, inspect, and service commercial and residential fire alarm systems.
• Install and service residential security and home audio systems.
• Perform on-site system testing, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
• Provide clear documentation, job reports, and customer instructions.
• Maintain tools, materials, and company vehicle equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and programming security cameras and access control systems.
• Experience with commercial fire alarm installation and residential security systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with network basics (IP addressing, PoE, routers/switches) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites.
• Professional communication skills and customer-service orientation.
