Service Technician

Job Summary
Thermo King Central Virginia has an immediate opening for a Technician at our Ashland facility. We are looking for an experienced technician to work in our service shop. Strong technical/mechanical background is a must. Experience with Class 8 truck repair, HVAC, or trailer repair necessary. We are looking for a technician that is enthusiastic about learning and excelling in the field.

Position is full time with benefits. Overtime available especially during summer months. Salary based on experience from entry level to Master tech. Healthcare, 401k, Dental, Vacation offered to all full time employees.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify various types of trailers and reefer units
• Positive interface with service writers, leadership team, parts department, drivers, vendors and customers
• Keep paper work updated and handed in upon completion
• Communicate effectively with customers
• Work safely and follow company safety standards
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness
• Perform various other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Able to abide by and enforce the policies and procedures of Thermo King Sales & Service

Experience

• Proven experience in field service or appliance repair is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand complex systems.
• Previous experience working with schematics and technical manuals is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
