What they need

As a Service Technician, you will combine your passion for electrotechnology and problem-solving in a hands-on role supporting the reliability and performance of Motium’s products. You will manage repair cases from initial diagnosis through to repair, testing, validation and release, ensuring products are restored efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Using structured troubleshooting techniques, you will identify root causes, resolve technical issues, and contribute to ongoing reliability and performance of our products across both warranty and non-warranty repairs. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring faults, providing technical feedback, and maintaining accurate service records.

This role plays a key role in achieving service performance objectives by delivering quality repair outcomes, meeting turnaround time targets, and ensuring customers receive a professional and reliable service experience in accordance with our company standards.

Reporting to the Service Manager, this is a full-time position based at our facility in Bentley. Due to the hands-on nature of the role, onsite attendance is required.

While your technical expertise will be highly valued, we don’t expect you to know everything from day one. We are committed to your development and will provide both in-house and external training opportunities to support your success and career growth with Motium.

Your day-to-day will revolved around the following:

  • Diagnose and repair electronic and computer-based products using structured troubleshooting techniques.
  • Investigate hardware, software, firmware and connectivity issues across Windows and Linux environments.
  • Test, validate and document repairs to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Communicate technical findings and repair outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring faults and contributing to root cause analysis.
  • Work collaboratively within the Service team while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and professional development.

What Are We Looking For?

Here are some of the things we think will make you likely to succeed in this role:

  • A qualification (or are currently studying) in Electronics, Communications, Computer Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic or computer-based systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose faults and identify root causes.
  • The ability to interpret technical documentation, test procedures and specifications.
  • Experience testing, validating and documenting technical outcomes with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • A customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • The ability to work effectively in a structured, process-driven environment while managing competing priorities.
  • A proactive approach to learning, continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a small team environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with electronics, embedded systems, or computer hardware repair.
  • Exposure to coding or scripting concepts.
  • Experience using repair tracking, scheduling, ERP/MRP or CRM systems (such as Salesforce or Ostendo).
  • Experience recording and reporting operational metrics, including repair turnaround times and workflow performance.
