SUMMARY: Valley Tractor & Equipment is a family-owned business serving the Wenatchee Valley since 1948. We are looking to add a full-time Service Technician to our fast-growing team. The in-shop technician will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of agricultural and construction equipment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while representing Valley Tractor in a professional manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of agricultural and construction equipment

· Inspect test run equipment and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues

· Utilize Kubota diagnostic software to troubleshoot fault codes, perform system diagnostic, software resets/updates and functional test to accurately identify and resolve equipment issues

· Disassemble and assemble equipment in an organized manner. Clean and test run equipment prior to closing repair order.

· Conduct routine maintenance work

· Document issues and coordinate with the parts department to provide repair estimates.

· Effectively communicate with service management adjustments and additional repairs needed.

· Maintain shop equipment and tools in good condition by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdown, and preventive maintenance.

· Perform all repairs on equipment with limited supervision and within capability/skill level.

· Complete Kubota training sessions as required to retain acquired knowledge and share skills with other technicians.

· Perform preventative maintenance, including fluid changes, lubrication, inspections, and adjustments

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma or GED.

· Industrial/Tractor equipment service experience preferred.

· Formal training/schooling on diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems preferred.

· Must possess basic computer skills and the ability to learn to use manufacturer diagnostic software

· Possess basic tools to efficiently complete repairs.

· Work overtime as required by workload and customer needs.

· Safe and proper application of hand, pneumatic, and electric tools. Safely use hoists and appropriate tools to lift heavy equipment and parts.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Frequently required to stand, walk

· Frequently utilize visualize acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard

· Frequently work near moving mechanical parts

· Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions

· Frequently work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals

· Frequently required to lift/push/carry up to 50 pounds

· Frequently exposure to loud noise (examples: earth moving equipment, agricultural equipment)

· Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: forklift

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 50.0 per week
