Who We Are
Directions Workforce Connect is the labour hire and recruitment arm of Directions Workforce Solutions (Directions), a WA-owned, not-for-profit group training organisation.
We are looking for a Service Technician to join an established industrial equipment business in Perth metro, working from the company's workshop. Hours are 7am to 3pm, 5 days, with a start in November if possible.
The Service Technician maintains and services fleet assets and customer equipment to set goals, targets, and standards.
The work covers compressed air, power generation, nitrogen generation, steam boilers, light towers, and associated equipment.
Pay rate of $45 to $60 per hour Including casual loading - depending upon experience and qualifications.
 
Work involves:

• Servicing and repairing electric and diesel compressors, generators, and associated equipment.
• Reporting defects or potential defects found in machinery being evaluated or serviced.
• Coordinating stock and non-stock parts needed to complete service jobs and maintaining branch parts stock levels.
• Managing service jobs and calls in the job management system, recording all maintenance and non-maintenance hours, and keeping a complete history for each item of equipment.
• Recording breakdowns, failures, and service calls, and completing accurate reporting for warranty service jobs.
• Attending customer sites neatly presented and in company apparel and identifying other business opportunities at each visit.
• Following the safety, environmental, and equity policies and procedures, ensuring PPE is available and serviceable, and attending training sessions and toolbox meetings.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

• Mechanical or electrical trade qualifications (Advantageous)
• Hands-on diesel engine servicing experience.
• Advanced diagnostic skills and hands-on experience with repair, service, and maintenance of electric and diesel compressors and generators.
• Experience in a field service role.
• A forklift ticket.
• A car licence.
• Basic to intermediate PC skills.
• Reside in Perth W.A
• Possess full Australian work rights
• Ability to pass medical screening including an alcohol and drug assessment.
