Position Overview

As a Service Technician, you’ll install, maintain, and repair oil and natural gas and propane heating systems and related equipment. You’ll work directly with residential and commercial customers, ensuring safe, efficient operation and deliver exceptional customer service in the field.

Essential Functions

• Diagnose and repair heating system malfunctions, including wiring, controls, and fuel systems
• Perform routine maintenance and system calibrations
• Install and service domestic hot water systems, boilers, furnaces, space heaters and associated components
• Complete accurate work orders and documentation using pricing tools
• Provide customer training on new systems and ensure satisfaction
• Maintain company vehicles and adhere to all safety protocols

Experience

• Must have at least two years of relevant oil/gas service experience
• Strong knowledge of gas burner wiring, circuitry, venting and safety controls
• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Basic computer literacy
• Self-motivated and dependable
• Committed to ongoing training and safety

Education

• High school diploma or GED required

Certification & Licensing

• Valid Maine Driver’s License
• Valid Maine Oil Journeyman or Masters License Required
• Valid Maine Propane and Natural Gas License (Appliance Connection & Service Technician Endorsement Required)
• Maine Propane and Natural Gas Tank Setter and Pipe Technician Endorsement Preferred
• HazMat Endorsement Preferred

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
