Service Technician

As a Service Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping our customers up and running by maintaining, repairing, and overhauling farm machinery. You’ll also provide exceptional customer service, whether in the country, in the shop, or over the phone. Join the Miller Sellner family as a Service Technician! Technical responsibilities include:

• Diagnose, service, repair, adjust, and test mechanical and electronic equipment
• Troubleshoot issues by inspecting equipment, reviewing reports, and collaborating with coworkers and customers
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other shop machinery
• Test and replace electrical components and wiring
• Clean, lubricate, reassemble, and adjust machinery to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Document repairs and parts usage and follow inventory procedures

Customer service and teamwork responsibilities include:

• Deliver prompt, professional, and friendly service to internal and external customers
• Answer customer questions and resolve concerns in person, by phone, or via email
• Educate customers on basic equipment operation when needed
• Continue the legacy of Miller Sellner by demonstrating the values of care and trust
• Support fellow team members and departments
• Train and mentor teammates, interns, or students, as requested

General duties include:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including the maintenance, operation and transportation of tools and equipment
• Attend required training and follow company policies and procedures
• Obtain and maintain relevant certifications
• Complete other duties as assigned in a professional and efficient manner
• Follow all safety policies and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications include:

• Diesel technology certification or equivalent experience
• Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional and professional customer service, responsive to coworkers and customers alike
• Excellent communication, computer and organizational skills
• Forklift certification, or ability to obtain
• Clean or acceptable MVR (CDL a plus)
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing equipment, and standing for extended periods (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Dependable attendance and flexibility to meet customer needs, including seasonal overtime
