Service Technician

Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading medical device company to identify a Electronic or Mechanical Service Technician for an opportunity near Oakdale, MN.  

Additional Details:

• Location model: Oakdale, MN
• Position Type: 12-month contract with potential to extend
• Pay range approved: $20/hr - $22/hr, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, clean, and repair electronic or mechanical healthcare devices.
• Operate common hand tools, repair tools, and test equipment to perform device repairs.
• Generate and process service repair documentation to maintain repair traceability and support customer invoicing.
• Prepare repair estimates, including service parts and labor costs.
• Maintain local service parts inventory in coordination with the Materials Control team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Communicate effectively with customer service, repair technicians, and management to support efficient service center operations.
• Use a PC with Microsoft Windows and basic Microsoft Word and Excel applications to complete repair documentation and administrative tasks.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Training from a two-year technical school preferred.
• Prior work experience in a technical field or industry preferred.
• Experience using common tools and test equipment for electronic or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain an orderly work area and follow established repair procedures.
