Service Technician

POSITION OVERVIEW :

The Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle inspections, maintenance, repairs, and basic diagnostics in accordance with the repair order and the brand's and dealership's standards. The role ensures that all work is completed accurately, safely, and on schedule, while supporting workshop productivity, first-time-fix performance, and excellent customer service experience.

1. EDUCATION :

ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. Professional certification with other OEM is preferred.

2. EXPERIENCE :

3 to 7 years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician in an EV or Hybrid passenger vehicle workshop (2W/CV experience is not eligible).Experience in vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, basic diagnosis and workshop tools is mandatory. Must have experience using tablets, PCs, or workshop applications to update repair notes and service records. Understanding repair manuals, technical bulletins, job cards and workshop safety practices is an advantage.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

1 : Scheduled Maintenance & Diagnosis: Carry out scheduled maintenance, general repairs, and basic diagnosis work as per the RO and dealership process; inspect vehicle and identify root causes.

2: Standard Repair Procedures: Follow repair manuals, technical bulletins, and brand procedures; use correct tools, equipment, and protective equipment properly and safely.

3: Shopfloor Coordination: Coordinate with Workshop Controller, Service Advisor, and Parts team for repair instructions, parts, and timelines; inform Controller immediately if additional time/parts are needed.

4: Quality Assurance & Testing: Complete quality checks and road tests, wherever required, before marking work complete; report repeat concerns and safety observations to Workshop Controller.

5: Digital RO Updates & 5S: Update RO details, repair findings, and work start/stop on tablets or workshop app; maintain proper 5S in work bays, vehicles, and tool storage.

6: EV/PHEV Knowledge & Compliance: Follow dealership processes, brand standards, safety rules, and quality requirements; maintain working knowledge of EV/PHEV safety practices.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
