Who we are

BriddleWood started in 1965 as a small family shop. Sixty years later we keep restaurants and retail stores running across the country, around the clock. We've grown a lot, but the way we treat our techs hasn't changed — you're a name here, not a number on a dispatch screen.

What you'll actually do

A typical week looks like:

• Reactive repairs at restaurant and retail sites — drywall, texture and paint, carpentry, shelving and anchoring, tile and grout, light plumbing, doors and hardware, electrical troubleshooting, fixtures, HVAC filters and basic PM
• Diagnosing problems on the spot and fixing them right the first time
• Running your work orders from a company iPhone and iPad — photos, notes, sign-offs
• Talking straight with store managers and owners, explaining what's wrong in plain English
• Driving between sites in a company vehicle

No two days look the same. That's the point.

What we're looking for

Must have

• Real commercial maintenance or handyman experience — you've done this work, not just read about it
• A broad skillset and the confidence to troubleshoot something you've never seen before
• Comfort using an iPhone and iPad for work orders (we'll train you on our system, not on smartphones)
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• The self-discipline to work solo — we give you the route and get out of your way
• Availability for rotating evenings, weekends, and on-call. Schedules are posted in advance.

Nice to have

• Restaurant or retail facility experience
• Trade certifications or licenses
• Stucco, masonry, or concrete work
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Your own tools

The physical side: lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, ladder and height work, kneeling, bending, and standing for long stretches.
