Service Technician (Mechanical)

About the role

We are seeking a Service Technician (Mechanical) to join our team based onsite at our office in Welshpool, Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Completion of daily mechanical maintenance activities to achieve the maintenance plan as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor
• Troubleshoot machine components to determine causes of failures when required, including gathering of failure evidence for later analysis
• Provide information and experience to assistants in their duties
• Participate in special projects whenever required
• Maintain punctuality at all times
• Ensure parts are used properly within the work order task descriptions as intended
• Ensure that on completion of repair, all parts removed are cleaned and tagged with information tags noting the associated work order details
• Ensure all company tools are returned to the proper area after use on a daily basis
• Ensure that the surrounding work area and workshops are maintained in a clean and safe state
• Raise improvement opportunity ideas with Mechanical Supervisor or Maintenance & Engineering Manager

About you

• Mechanic trade qualification i.e. light vehicle (must be Australian recognised) - preferred
• Marine Maintenance would be advantageous
• Previous Heat Exchanger experience would be advantageous
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Strong commitment towards safety and quality
• Motivated and hard working with a professional attitude
• Root Cause Analysis experience would be advantageous
• Current WA Driver's license
• Minimum 1-2 years of mechanical maintenance experience is required
