As an important member of the Service and Maintenance team, you help our colleagues contribute to safety and the traveler experience at Schiphol Airport. With your service-oriented technical mindset and proactive approach, providing optimal support and advice to our customers is a piece of cake for you.

What will you do as a Service Technician?

As a Service Technician at Schiphol, you ensure the smooth operation of our security lanes and self-service BagDrops. Every day, you contribute to the safety and airport experience of passengers at Schiphol. The service team you are part of consists of approximately 20 employees who take care of the preventive and corrective maintenance of our machines 24/7. As a Service Technician, you will be involved in:

• Maintaining the machines;
• Performing I/O checks;
• Adjusting the various machine parts;
• Preparing fault and maintenance reports;
• Reporting on the work performed and any notable issues.

What do you bring?

• A completed MBO niveau 2/3 education in mechatronics/electrical engineering;
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in machine building;
• You are willing to work in a 5-shift system, working morning, afternoon, and night shifts;
• You are able to read and interpret electrical schematics. Knowledge of PLC systems is a plus, but not a requirement;
• You are able to provide a Security Clearance (VGB);
• You are VCA certified and in possession of NEN-3140 (VP), or willing to obtain this;
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
