Service Technician – SDA, MDA, PC, AV, Power Tools & Accessories

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Service Technician to join our Electronics Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and maintaining a wide range of consumer electronic and electrical products, including SDA, MDA, PCs, AV equipment, power tools, and accessories.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on repair skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty electronic, electrical, and mechanical products.
• Identify root causes of technical faults using service manuals, circuit diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace defective components, wiring, PCBs, and mechanical parts.
• Perform soldering, component-level repairs, assembly, and disassembly.
• Conduct testing and quality checks after completing repairs.
• Ensure repaired products meet required manufacturer and safety standards before release.
• Identify and request the correct spare parts required for each repair.
• Maintain accurate records of spare parts used, replaced components, and repair activities.
• Handle warranty repairs and maintain proper documentation for warranty claims.
• Update service management systems/ERP with job cards, fault details, parts used, and repair status.
• Maintain service tools, testing equipment, and workshop equipment in good working condition.
• Follow all health, safety, quality, and workshop organization standards.
• Minimize repair turnaround time while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Escalate complex technical issues when required.

Required Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electronic and electrical circuits.
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and technical manuals.
• Hands-on experience with soldering and PCB repair.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic testing equipment.
• Good mechanical assembly and disassembly skills.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and service software.
• Good knowledge of spare parts identification and inventory procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet repair turnaround times.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in a service center, workshop, or technical repair environment.
• Experience with consumer electronics, home appliances, power tools, PCs, AV equipment, or related products will be preferred.
• Experience in warranty/service-center operations is an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a technically strong, hands-on technician who can independently diagnose faults, perform repairs, manage spare parts efficiently, and ensure products are returned to customers in proper working condition.
