Service Transition Manager

Job Summary

Manage and oversee the Cross-Delivery Service Transition Planning and Support process for moving new or changed services into production within agreed cost, quality and time parameters.

Location: Pune - Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the transition framework, policies, operational processes, readiness framework, lifecycle stages, transition models and supporting tools, subject to the required approvals.
• Coordinate transition activities across Optus stakeholders and Services Suppliers, ensuring that dependencies, risks, issues, resources and required documentation are understood and managed.
• Define and govern lifecycle stages including acquisition and testing of CIs, build and test, release testing, operational-readiness testing, deployment, early-life support, review and closure.
• Advise stakeholders on transition requirements and documentation, including service design packages, service-acceptance criteria, evaluation reports, configuration baselines and service-activation checklists.
• Monitor and track completion and sign-off of the planning, design, build, test, release and support elements of the service design package.
• Construct and coordinate review of the integrated Cross-Delivery service design package, resolving issues relating to completeness, accuracy, cost, impact and risk.
• Develop integrated transition plans covering tasks, dependencies, resources, environments, risks and issues, and review supplier transition plans for consistency and completeness.
• Coordinate operational-readiness assessments and the movement of services from development through production and support.
• Govern transition changes, deviations, waivers, continuity requirements, baseline controls, communications and early-life support.
• Maintain a detailed audit trail, monitor actual progress against approved plans, report significant variances and transition status, and provide performance information for continual improvement.
