Service Truck Build Coordinator

About the role

Premium Plant Hire is looking for a New Build Coordinator who will own the full journey of service trucks and modules — from order confirmation right through to final handover and commissioning. You'll be the glue between Production, Engineering, Workshop, Suppliers, and Sales, making sure every build lands on time, on spec, on budget, and up to Premium's uncompromising mine-spec standards. This is a hands-on coordination role based in High Wycombe, Perth, perfect if you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing and heavy vehicle environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full new-build journey from order to handover, creating and maintaining detailed master build schedules (Gantt charts) and tracking build hours against targets
• Manage BOMs, revision control, parts availability, and PO issuance; source chassis, tanks, modules, pumps, and compressors
• Handle third-party chassis allocations and expedite critical parts to prevent delays
• Drive supplier, subcontractor, and OEM performance; expedite orders and manage work engagements
• Work with engineering, fabrication, and workshop teams to streamline workflows, resolve technical issues, and keep assembly days organized
• Ensure builds meet technical design specs, mine-spec safety requirements (ROPS, safety systems, etc.), and QA/QC standards
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and services completion
• Monitor build budgets to flag variances early and maintain complete project documentation
• Keep Sales, Operations, and customers updated on progress and timelines
• Assist leadership in improving production workflows, designs, module standardization, and maintaining a safe 5S work environment

About you

• Proven background in project planning, maintaining live schedules (Gantt charts), and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Demonstrated experience in parts procurement, BOM management, revision control, and vendor management
• Solid understanding of manufacturing/assembly workflows, heavy vehicle builds, and ability to read technical drawings, specs, and parts catalogs
• Basic mechanical and hydraulic knowledge is a strong bonus
• Sharp problem-solving skills to navigate supply chain bottlenecks while following structured build processes
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with internal production teams, engineering leadership, external vendors, and customers
• Proficiency in Google Sheets
• Current Driver's License
• Forklift License
