Service Writer/Advisor

What you’ll do:

• Listen to customers and accurately document equipment concerns and service requests.
• Create and manage work orders, keeping repair details organized and complete.
• Coordinate with technicians and shop leadership on scheduling, repair progress, and customer needs.
• Communicate estimates, obtain approvals, and provide timely updates.
• Handle difficult conversations professionally, defuse tense situations, and help find solutions.
• Operate and move equipment as needed, following proper training and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in EQUIPMENT service writing or a related field
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair processes
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with customers
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient computer skills for entering and retrieving information from the system

Equipment or service department experience is a plus. Initiative, accountability, and a willingness to learn are essential.
