ServiceMax Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced ServiceMax Developer to join our Field Service Systems team. You will design, build, and maintain solutions on the ServiceMax platform (built on Salesforce) that power field service operations, including dispatch, work orders, equipment tracking, and parts logistics for our medical device service teams nationwide

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and configure custom solutions within ServiceMax and the underlying Salesforce platform, including Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce pages, to extend core functionality for our field service teams.
• Configure and optimize key ServiceMax modules such as Work Orders, Dispatch Console, Parts & Depot Management, Preventive Maintenance, and Contracts/Entitlements to support field technicians servicing medical equipment nationwide.
• Build and maintain integrations between ServiceMax and other enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, inventory/parts management, and reporting tools, ensuring accurate and timely data flow across platforms.
• Partner closely with field service operations, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that comply with medical device quality standards such as FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485.
• Troubleshoot production issues, lead root-cause analysis, and support system upgrades, testing, and release management to keep the platform reliable, secure, and audit-ready.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience developing and configuring ServiceMax (Core, Zinc, or ServiceMax on Salesforce), combined with strong working knowledge of Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Lightning Web Components, and Flow on the Salesforce platform.

• Strong architect skills, with the ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable ServiceMax/Salesforce solution and integration architectures, define technical standards and best practices, and guide design decisions across the team.

• Practical experience with ServiceMax modules such as Work Orders, Dispatch Console, Parts Management, Preventive Maintenance, or Asset 360, along with REST/SOAP API integration experience connecting ServiceMax to ERP, CRM, or inventory systems.

• Solid understanding of field service operations, work order lifecycles, asset/equipment management, and the software development lifecycle, including version control (Git) and structured testing practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ServiceMax or Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Platform Developer I/II, ServiceMax certifications), along with prior experience supporting field service technicians in a healthcare or medical equipment environment.

• Experience with medical device quality systems and validation/compliance documentation, such as 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485, and exposure to IoT-connected medical equipment or remote asset monitoring
