ServiceNow AI Architect

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow AI Architect with strong experience across ServiceNow architecture, AI/GenAI and custom application development to join a growing technology team. This is a senior technical role for someone who can combine deep ServiceNow platform expertise with emerging AI capabilities and lead the design and delivery of innovative enterprise solutions.

The Role

You will be responsible for defining the technical architecture and delivering complex ServiceNow solutions and custom applications, while helping the organisation maximise the use of AI and Generative AI across the platform. You will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams and senior leadership to translate business requirements into scalable, secure and innovative ServiceNow solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design and development of ServiceNow solutions and custom applications.
• Design and build applications using ServiceNow App Engine / Application Studio.
• Define and implement AI and GenAI solutions within ServiceNow.
• Work with capabilities including Now Assist, Virtual Agent, AI Search and NLU.
• Design AI-enabled workflows and automation to improve business processes and user experiences.
• Provide technical leadership across ServiceNow development, architecture and integrations.
• Design integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub and third-party technologies.
• Establish ServiceNow development standards, architecture principles, security and governance.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to ServiceNow developers and engineering teams.
• Evaluate emerging ServiceNow and AI capabilities and identify opportunities to apply them across the organisation.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience working with ServiceNow as a developer, technical architect or solution architect.
• Strong hands-on experience with custom ServiceNow application development.
• Proven experience with App Engine / Application Studio.
• Strong understanding of AI, Generative AI and AI-enabled enterprise workflows.
• Experience with Now Assist, Virtual Agent, AI Search, NLU or similar ServiceNow AI capabilities.
• Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting experience, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts and Glide APIs.
• Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub and ServiceNow integrations.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, security and governance.
• Experience working across ITSM and other ServiceNow modules.
• Ability to operate at both strategic architectural and hands-on technical levels.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
