Role Overview

We are looking for a ServiceNow Developer / SAM Pro Administrator/Specialist with strong experience in ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM Pro), administration, development, configuration, integrations, and application support.

The candidate will work closely with business and product teams to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements within an Agile methodology. The role involves end-to-end implementation, customization, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the ServiceNow SAM Pro platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and provide application support for the National Grid ServiceNow SAM Pro application.
• Create, implement, modify, and maintain ServiceNow SAM Pro components.
• Perform end-to-end implementation and ongoing support of ServiceNow SAM Pro, including support for both UK and US instances.
• Configure and customize ServiceNow SAM Pro to meet specific organizational requirements.
• Develop and implement publisher-specific packs and plugins for software asset management.
• Manage and oversee the software entitlement upload process for in-scope software publishers.
• Perform regular reconciliation of deployment details received from integration sources.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow SAM Pro implementations and integrations.
• Develop and maintain ServiceNow solutions using JavaScript scripting.
• Write and modify business rules, scripts, workflows, APIs, and other ServiceNow components as required.
• Maintain technical documentation, including technical specifications, configuration documents, and user guides.
• Assist with and participate in QA, testing, user training, and deployment activities.
• Provide training and support to end users to ensure effective adoption of ServiceNow SAM Pro.
• Stay updated with ServiceNow SAM Pro releases and enhancements and identify opportunities to optimize software asset management processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of SAM processes.
• Understand detailed business and technical requirements and take ownership of solutions from design through implementation and support.
• Work effectively in a highly dynamic and Agile environment to solve complex technical problems.
• Maintain a strong focus on code quality, scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
• Follow established project delivery lifecycle processes and ensure adherence to development and implementation standards.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow.

• Relevant experience in ServiceNow SAM Pro (Software Asset Management).

• Experience in ServiceNow administration, configuration, and development.

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.

• Experience with software asset management processes, including entitlements, reconciliation, publishers, and deployments.

• Experience troubleshooting ServiceNow applications and integrations.

Education

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering or a related discipline, or
• MCA, or
• Equivalent educational qualification.
