ServiceNow DevOps Engineer

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing, automating, and continuously improving ServiceNow solutions that support the client’s business and operational needs. You’ll work closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to build reliable workflows, integrations, and deployment processes while helping drive DevOps practices across the ServiceNow environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, and platform solutions.
• Implement and maintain automated deployment pipelines for ServiceNow development and release processes.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD processes to support reliable and efficient ServiceNow deployments.
• Automate development, testing, deployment, and operational processes across ServiceNow environments.
• Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise applications and platforms using APIs and web services and ServiceNow integration solutions such as Integration Hub
• Manage source control, code promotion, versioning, and deployment activities across development, test, and production environments.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of ServiceNow modules, applications, scripts, business rules, and workflows.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ServiceNow applications, integrations, deployment pipelines, and related technical issues.
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and other technical stakeholders to improve platform reliability and deployment efficiency and resolve major incidents
• Apply DevOps principles and automation practices to improve development lifecycle, release management, and operational processes.
• Ensure ServiceNow solutions and deployment processes follow established security, quality, governance, and technical standards.
• Maintain technical documentation covering configurations, integrations, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the ServiceNow platform and its development and delivery processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, or platform engineering.
• Experience with ServiceNow development tools, scripting, workflows, and application configuration.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and experience with ServiceNow scripting.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with source control and version management, preferably Git.
• Experience developing and managing integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, or other web services and ServiceNow’s on integration methods such as Integration Hub.
• Understanding of ServiceNow development lifecycle, release management, and deployment across multiple environments.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) and automated testing is an advantage.
• Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and ServiceNow best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containers, infrastructure automation, or other modern DevOps technologies is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with distributed and international teams.
