ServiceNow Engineer

🚀 We're Hiring: Lead / Senior ServiceNow Engineer | Contract | Immediate Joiners Preferred

Location: Mumbai, Noida, Gurugram, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Puducherry, Trichy or Kolkata. Hybrid working model, subject to project requirements and office availability.

Experience: 6–12 years overall, with substantial hands-on ServiceNow engineering experience

Notice Period: Immediate to 21 days

Engagement: Contract

Interview Availability: Interviews scheduled over the weekend, Monday or Tuesday, with flexible timings.

We are looking for experienced Lead / Senior ServiceNow Engineers who can independently design, develop, integrate, deploy and support complex enterprise ServiceNow solutions.

Important: This is a hands-on engineering role—not a ServiceNow administration, purely functional consulting or project management position.

🔴 Mandatory Technical Requirements

1. ServiceNow Platform Engineering

• Strong hands-on server-side and client-side development using JavaScript and Glide APIs.
• Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Events and Scheduled Jobs.
• ServiceNow data modelling, table relationships, reference fields and data integrity.
• Maintainable, reusable and upgrade-safe solution design.

2. Enterprise Integration Engineering

• Hands-on experience with IntegrationHub, custom spokes/actions and Connection & Credential Aliases.
• RESTMessageV2, Scripted REST APIs and inbound/outbound REST integrations.
• OAuth 2.0, JSON, webhooks, callbacks and API security.
• MID Server connectivity for enterprise systems.
• Integration resilience: retries, timeouts, idempotency, exception handling, reconciliation and asynchronous processing.

3. Production Ownership, Troubleshooting & RCA

• Independently troubleshoot production issues across ServiceNow UI, workflows, APIs and external systems.
• Log analysis, debugging, performance tuning, incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Defect remediation, hotfixes, rollback planning and post-release validation.
• Experience with Update Sets, Scoped Applications, source control, release governance and Automated Test Framework (ATF).

4. CSM / Case Management

• End-to-end case lifecycle design and workflow ownership.
• Case routing, assignment, queues, prioritisation, SLAs, approvals, notifications and email processing.
• Practical experience building business workflows around ServiceNow cases.

5. Configurable Workspace & UI Builder

• Hands-on experience with Configurable Workspace and UI Builder.
• Workspace actions, Declarative Actions, Data Resources, components, dynamic forms and contextual panels.
• Ability to build secure, intuitive and performant user experiences.

6. Flow Designer / Workflow Orchestration

• Reusable flows, actions, subflows, triggers, approvals, decision logic and exception handling.
• Sound judgement on when to use Flow Designer versus Business Rules, Script Includes, Events or custom scripting.

7. Security & Access Control

• Roles, groups, table-level and field-level ACLs.
• API security, credential management, service accounts and least-privilege access.
• User-context authorisation, audit logging and traceability for sensitive operations.

8. Communication & Professionalism

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to discuss technical designs with business and technology stakeholders.
• Strong ownership, structured problem-solving, production discipline and collaborative working style.

⭐ Additional Advantages

• ServiceNow CSA, CAD or relevant CIS certifications.
• Experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms.
• Integration of ServiceNow with AI/GenAI, enterprise search or external intelligence platforms.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated enterprise environments.
• Previous experience in ServiceNow Product Engineering, Professional Services or Customer Outcomes.

🎯 Who Should Apply?

Candidates must have personally designed, developed, deployed and supported complex ServiceNow solutions in production. Strong enterprise REST/API integration experience, CSM and Workspace/UI experience, production ownership and communication skills are essential.
