ServiceNow ITOM Developer

For one of our partners, we are looking to hire an experienced ServiceNow ITOM Developer to implement and maintain technical solutions supporting infrastructure discovery, service mapping, event management and CMDB visibility. NATEK provides ServiceNow development and implementation services across ITOM, ITSM, CMDB, automation and integrations. The developer will be responsible for hands-on technical delivery and for ensuring that ITOM solutions are robust, scalable and aligned with ServiceNow best practices.

Your Responsibilities

• Configure and develop ServiceNow ITOM solutions.
• Implement and maintain ServiceNow Discovery configurations.
• Configure Discovery schedules, behaviours, credentials, probes, sensors and patterns as required.
• Support Discovery across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Configure and develop Service Mapping solutions.
• Build and maintain application and service dependency maps.
• Configure Event Management and event-processing rules.
• Develop event correlation, alert-management and automation solutions.
• Support Operational Intelligence capabilities and operational dashboards.
• Configure and maintain CMDB data related to ITOM processes where required.
• Develop integrations with monitoring, infrastructure, cloud and third-party tools.
• Work with MID Servers and troubleshoot connectivity and discovery issues.
• Develop scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes and other platform customisations where required.
• Support CMDB data quality and CI relationship management where relevant.
• Implement Flow Designer and automation solutions.
• Perform unit, integration and system testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and performance problems.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design sessions.
• Maintain technical and deployment documentation.
• Support ServiceNow upgrades and continuous platform improvements.

Our Requirements

• Strong understanding of machine learning and AI concepts
• 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong practical experience with ServiceNow ITOM.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Discovery
• Service Mapping
• Event Management
• CMDB knowledge is considered an advantage
• MID Server
• Discovery Patterns
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform development and JavaScript.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and APIs.
• Experience with Flow Designer and automation.
• Understanding of infrastructure technologies such as Windows/Linux servers, databases, networks and applications.
• Experience working with cloud platforms is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of CSDM and CMDB best practices is considered a plus.
• Experience troubleshooting Discovery and Service Mapping issues.
• Understanding of event-management and monitoring concepts.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• ServiceNow CSA and relevant ITOM certification is highly desirable.
• CAD (Certified Application Developer) certification is also considered an advantage.
• Good written and spoken English.
