ServiceNow Technical Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a technically strong ServiceNow professional to lead development, technical design, integration delivery, code quality, and implementation activities across one or more ServiceNow products.

The candidate must retain hands-on technical depth while guiding developers and coordinating with functional teams, architects, and project stakeholders.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Advanced ServiceNow architecture, data model, application design, and platform configuration.
• Strong JavaScript and server-side/client-side scripting.
• Business Rules, Script Includes, GlideRecord, Flow Designer, custom actions, and reusable components.
• REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, authentication, error handling, data mapping, and integration monitoring.
• Application security, ACLs, scoped applications, cross-scope access, and secure coding.
• CMDB, CSDM, and data governance where relevant.
• Performance analysis, debugging, upgrade-safe development, and platform troubleshooting.
• Automated Test Framework (ATF), unit testing, code reviews, release management, and deployment practices.
• Application lifecycle management, Update Sets, source control, and CI/CD concepts where used.
• Technical documentation, estimates, dependency management, and risk assessment.

Mandatory Module / Specialization Coverage

Candidates must have lead-level technical experience in at least one major domain:

• ITSM / custom application development.
• ITOM / Discovery / Event Management / Service Mapping.
• CMDB / CSDM.
• CSM / HRSD.
• ITAM / SAM / HAM.
• SecOps / IRM / SPM.
• Enterprise integrations and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and implementation for assigned workstreams.
• Translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Establish development standards and reusable design patterns.
• Review code, integrations, security, performance, and test coverage.
• Guide developers and coordinate with architects and functional leads.
• Resolve complex defects and lead root-cause analysis.
• Manage technical dependencies, estimates, releases, and implementation risks.
• Support upgrades, production stability, and platform governance.
• Mentor team members and contribute to technical planning.

Preferred Skills

• CSA, CAD, and relevant CIS certifications.
• Enterprise-scale implementations and integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD, ATF, scoped applications, and platform upgrades.
• Experience coordinating distributed development teams.
