Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Technical Lead - IT Asset Management (ITAM) with proven expertise in leading end-to-end ServiceNow ITAM engagements, specifically across Hardware Asset Management (HAM ) and Software Asset Management (SAM ). The ideal candidate will combine strong technical leadership, hands-on platform expertise, client-facing consulting skills, and a successful track record of delivering enterprise-scale ITAM transformation programs.

Mandatory: Proven experience leading ServiceNow ITAM projects or tracks, including HAM Pro and/or SAM Pro delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead end-to-end ServiceNow ITAM solution design and implementation.

• Define scalable architecture and detailed technical designs for HAM Pro and SAM Pro.

• Provide technical oversight across configuration, development, integrations, testing, deployment, and hypercare.

• Establish development standards, design governance, quality controls, and implementation best practices.

ITAM Solution Delivery

• Lead discovery and design workshops to gather, validate, and refine business and technical requirements.

• Design and implement Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, asset lifecycle workflows, software license compliance, normalization, reclamation, discovery and CMDB integration, and contract/vendor- related integrations.

• Configure and optimize software license positioning, compliance, asset operations, dashboards, and reporting.

Mandatory Skills

ServiceNow Platform and ITAM

• ServiceNow ITAM, HAM , and SAM

• CMDB, Discovery, Integration Hub, Flow Designer, Service Catalog, and reporting/analytics

• IT asset lifecycle management, software license compliance, Effective License Position (ELP), normalization, publisher packs, reclamation, optimization, and governance

Technical Skills

• JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting

• REST and SOAP APIs

• MID Server and integration architecture

• Import Sets, Transform Maps, data migration, reconciliation, and data quality controls

Mandatory Experience

☐ Led at least 2-3 large or complex ServiceNow ITAM implementations or workstreams.

☐ Hands-on delivery experience across HAM Pro and SAM Pro.

☐ Led technical teams of five or more members in an onshore/offshore or distributed delivery model.

☐ Experience in ITAM solutioning, estimation, architecture, design workshops, technical governance, testing, and deployment.

☐ Demonstrated client-facing experience with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience

• ServiceNow ITOM and enterprise CMDB/CSDM exposure

• ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management exposure

• ITIL-aligned service management processes

• Pre-sales, proposal, estimation, and solutioning experience

• Experience delivering programs through a global delivery model

Certifications (Preferred)

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

• ServiceNow ITAM, HAM, or SAM implementation certifications, where applicable

• ITIL Foundation / ITIL 4

• Recognized Software Asset Management or Hardware Asset Management certification
