About the Job
American Lemon Law Group, LLP (ALLG) is one of California's fastest-growing consumer rights firms. We fight for our clients and deliver results. We have built something rare in the legal world: a firm where exceptional culture and exceptional results aren't in conflict; they're the same thing. Our team is collaborative, energized, and genuinely passionate about the work.
Position Summary
The Case Resolution Manager owns the post-settlement phase of every case and has one primary mandate: bring every settled case to full resolution as quickly and as completely as possible. This role serves as the primary liaison between clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, lenders, and dealerships, and is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of settlement agreements, the coordination of vehicle surrenders, and the management of all documentation from lienholder records to client disbursements.
Just as critically, the Case Resolution Manager serves as the second set of eyes on every settlement, verifying the accuracy of settlement terms, calculations, and disbursement figures before agreements are sent to clients. Errors at this stage create real exposure for the firm, so precision is non-negotiable.
Equally important is the ability to serve as a trusted, clear communicator for our clients navigating one of the most consequential moments in their case: receiving their settlement. The Case Resolution Manager must be able to explain complex settlement structures (repurchases, cash-and-keep agreements, loan payoffs, reimbursements, etc.) in plain language that puts clients at ease, while ensuring compliance with settlement terms and internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Settlement Accuracy & Quality Control
▸ Serve as the second set of eyes on all settlement terms and calculations entered by attorneys, catching errors before disbursement agreements are generated and sent to clients
▸ Verify that settlement amounts, civil penalty splits, payoff figures, and reimbursement calculations are correct and consistent across the settlement agreement, disbursement agreement, and Filevine fields
▸ Flag and escalate any discrepancies to the handling attorney before any document goes to the client
Settlement Oversight & Case Resolution
▸ Manage settled matters from executed agreement through final resolution and case closure
▸ Review settlement agreements for compliance with negotiated terms, timelines, and client obligations
▸ Coordinate all settlement logistics including vehicle surrender scheduling, financial document collection, and fulfillment of settlement conditions
▸ Send reminder emails to defense counsel on a structured cadence (two weeks, one week, and one day before settlement deadlines) to keep the case on track
▸ Escalate delays, breaches, or unresponsive defense counsel to the handling attorney so motions or breach notices can be prepared and filed when needed
▸ File the Notice of Settlement once a signed settlement agreement is received — not before
Client Communication & Case Management
▸ Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the settlement process
▸ Conduct detailed settlement review calls with clients to explain settlement agreements, disbursement agreements, and post-settlement expectations in a clear and professional manner
▸ Provide guidance regarding settlement timelines, vehicle surrender requirements, lease extensions, registration issues, reimbursement eligibility, and settlement procedures
▸ Maintain consistent communication with clients on case status, next steps, and required documentation throughout the settlement process
▸ De-escalate frustrated or anxious clients when settlements are delayed, and help them work through unexpected issues that arise during the settlement window (vehicle damage, expired registration, accidents, etc.)
▸ Maintain detailed case notes and documentation in Filevine to ensure file accuracy and continuity
Financial Coordination & Reimbursement Management
▸ Track supplemental settlement payments and attorney fee disbursements
▸ Work closely with attorneys and the accounting team to facilitate settlement disbursements and final payment reconciliation
Vehicle Surrender & Settlement Logistics
▸ Coordinate vehicle surrender appointments with manufacturers, dealerships, and third-party vehicle surrender companies
▸ Ensure all required documents - registration, title, lender information, and payoff quotes - are complete and current prior to surrender
▸ Confirm that the client’s registration will not expire before the surrender date, and that the vehicle is in acceptable condition (alerting the attorney or instructing the client to remediate if not)
▸ Resolve logistical issues that arise during the surrender or settlement process
Case Closure & Data Management
▸ File the request for dismissal once the settlement has been fully paid out
▸ Move closed cases out of the settlement phase and into archive in Filevine, so attorney dockets stay clean and accurate
▸ Ensure no settled case lingers in an active status longer than necessary
Qualifications
▸ Experience in legal case management, settlement administration, litigation support, or legal operations preferred
▸ High attention to detail and ability to analyze financial records and settlement-related documentation
▸ Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and client-focused approach
▸ Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
▸ Proficiency in legal case management software (Filevine experience a plus), Microsoft Office Suite, and case tracking systems
▸ Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage high-volume caseload and competing deadlines
▸ High degree of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential client and financial information
Compensation & Benefits
▸ Competitive salary based on experience
▸ Performance Bonus: Incentive-based bonus structure that rewards results
▸ Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance
▸ 401(k) Retirement Benefit
▸ Fully remote with hybrid option/access to our Mid-Wilshire office
