• 1. Academic & classroom support
• Assist the student in understanding and following instructions from lead/specialist teachers, ensuring they stay focused and actively engaged in learning tasks.
• Reinforce classroom rules and expectations established by teachers without completing academic work for the student.
• Provide timely prompts and reminders while encouraging task completion, gradually fading direct assistance to foster long-term independence.
• 2. Support during breaks, lunch & non-academic times
• Provide active supervision during break times, lunchtime, transitions, and free periods, remaining fully aware of the student's location and behavior.
• Guide safe physical interactions, support positive social interactions, and help the student build healthy friendships without unnecessarily restricting play.
• Help the student recognize appropriate social boundaries, articulate their needs effectively, and seek adult assistance when facing difficulties.
• 3. Behavior, self-regulation & safety management
• Calmly redirect disruptive or inappropriate behaviors, helping the student identify triggers and apply appropriate self-regulation strategies.
• Support the student in resolving peer conflicts non-physically, helping them understand the consequences and impact of their choices.
• Maintain campus safety by consistently applying agreed-upon behavior strategies and intervening appropriately whenever there is a risk of unsafe conduct.
• 4. Progress reporting & communication
• Maintain regular communication with parents and school staff regarding the student's daily engagement and development.
• Keep brief records tracking positive behaviors, significant incidents, levels of support required, effective strategies, and progress toward independence goals.
• Immediately report any serious behavioral, safety, or Child Protection concerns directly to designated school authorities in line with school policies.

Yêu cầu công việc:

• Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in education, special education, or related fields are advantageous.
• Desired Skills and Experience
• Experience working with children in an educational setting and supporting teachers with classroom management and instructional delivery.
• Ability to calmly redirect challenging behaviors, manage frustration, and guide students toward emotional self-regulation.
• Experience or familiarity with supporting students with diverse learning, behavioral, or special educational needs (SEN) is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for facilitating peer connections, communicating with parents, and maintaining concise progress records.
• High level of responsibility regarding student safety, active non-academic supervision, and strict adherence to Child Protection protocols.
