Duties

• Assist stylists and barbers by shampooing, conditioning, and preparing clients for styling or coloring services
• Maintain salon cleanliness by sanitizing tools, workstations, and common areas in accordance with health regulations
• Support store management with inventory checks and restocking supplies such as hair products, towels, and tools
• Engage with clients professionally to ensure their comfort and address any questions about hair care or salon services
• Help manage appointment schedules using salon software like MINDBODY to optimize client flow and reduce wait times
• Assist with retail sales by recommending hair care products suited to individual client needs
• Support hairstyling, hair coloring, hair extensions, hair threading, makeup application, and other salon services as needed under supervision

Skills

• Experience working in the beauty industry or a strong interest in developing skills in cosmetology and barbering
• Knowledge of hair care techniques including hair coloring, styling, extensions, and hair threading
• Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
• Understanding of sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to mentor new team members and support store management in daily operations
• Basic retail math skills for handling product sales and inventory management
• Knowledge of color theory to assist with color matching and styling advice
• Experience with makeup application is a plus but not required

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
