Duties

• Perform professional shampooing, conditioning, and scalp treatments using advanced techniques tailored to each client’s hair type and needs
• Assist stylists and barbers with hair washing, prepping clients for services such as coloring, styling, or extensions
• Maintain strict sanitation standards by cleaning tools, sinks, and workstations regularly in accordance with health regulations
• Support store management by organizing supplies and ensuring product inventory is well-stocked and properly stored
• Engage with clients through friendly communication, understanding their preferences and providing personalized recommendations for hair care products or services
• Assist with upselling premium hair care products and add-on services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
• Stay current on industry trends including hair coloring techniques, hair extensions, makeup application, and barbering styles to better serve clients

Experience

• Previous experience working in the beauty industry or salon environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Familiarity with salon software systems such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and client management is a plus
• Knowledge of hair care products, color theory, sanitation practices, and styling techniques including straight razor shaving is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Ability to mentor junior staff or apprentices in proper shampooing techniques and customer service standards
• Experience with hair coloring, hair extensions, makeup application, or store management will be considered advantageous
• A valid cosmetology license or barbering certification is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key
