What they need

About Us

At Alliance Group, we’re more than a global supplier of exceptional grass-fed lamb, beef, and venison. We’re a purpose-driven business committed to driving prosperity for our farming families and creating thriving environments for our people. With sites across the North and South Islands, we’re focused on performance improvement, innovation, and reducing our environmental impact.

The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Shareholder & Customer Services Representative to join our team.

In this role, you’ll provide professional, responsive, and knowledgeable support to Alliance shareholders, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders. You’ll be the first point of contact for a wide range of enquiries and play a key role in ensuring customers receive timely, accurate, and solutions-focused service.

You’ll work closely with Livestock Representatives, Livestock Payments, processing sites, and other internal teams to resolve enquiries, maintain accurate shareholder and supplier information, and support the smooth delivery of services across the Livestock Division.

This is a permanent, full time role based in Invercargill.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing customer, shareholder, and supplier enquiries across multiple communication channels
  • Taking ownership of issues and complaints through to resolution
  • Maintaining accurate customer and shareholder records and master data
  • Supporting store stock and grazing transactions
  • Assisting with debtor follow-up activity where required
  • Providing Farm Alliance administration support, including account setup and password management
  • Acting as a key user for systems and processes and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and building strong working relationships. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, communication, and adaptability are essential.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in a customer service or support role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence handling enquiries, complaints, and conflict resolution
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and modern systems/ERP platforms
  • A customer-focused mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • The ability to adapt quickly to new systems, technology, and change initiatives

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Experience in the agricultural or red meat sector
  • Knowledge of sheep, beef, and lamb farming operations
  • Familiarity with industry requirements such as NAIT or OSPRI
  • Experience maintaining customer or supplier master data

Please note that we are only considering candidates who are currently eligible to work in New Zealand.

What we Offer

  • A supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Opportunities to grow your skills and career
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits
  • One week’s extra annual leave
  • Access to wellbeing and development initiatives
