What they need

Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

Where you’ll be working? BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

Support operational teams with risk assessment processes, safe systems of work, and controls for high-risk activities including confined spaces, excavations, lifting operations, working at height, and temporary works. Conduct site inspections, audits, and behavioural safety tours, providing practical guidance to managers and site teams. Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions to promote a positive safety culture and workforce engagement. Maintain accurate compliance records, contribute to performance reporting, and support client and regulatory audits. Drive delivery of SHEQ objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, and clients, influencing safe behaviours, challenging poor practices where necessary, and acting as a visible role model for company values and SHE leadership standards.
