Sheet Metal Apprentice $20-$30

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Apprentice works under the direct supervision of licensed journeymen or master technicians to learn the trade of fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing thin-metal products and commercial HVAC duct systems.

• Installation Support: Assist with hanging, securing, and modifying commercial HVAC ductwork, grilles, diffusers, hoods, and ventilation components.
• Fabrication & Assembly: Measure, cut, bend, solder, weld, rivet, or bolt sheet metal components according to project layouts.
• Job Site Support: Offload, sort, and organize materials, tools, and equipment on construction or renovation sites.
• Blueprint & Layout Assistance: Learn to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and building plans.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow OSHA guidelines, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain clean, hazard-free work area

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, climb, crawl, bend, work at heights or in tight spaces, and lift heavy materials (frequently 50 lbs or more).
• Technical Aptitude: Basic math and measuring skills, willingness to learn hand/power tools, and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Licenses: Valid driver's license with a reliable or insurable driving record (often required for travel to job sites).

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
