Sheet Metal Deburring Technician

Day Shift

• Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm & Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Core Responsibilities:

• Set up and use hand tools to remove burrs, sharp edges, slag and surface imperfections from sheet metal parts.
• Set up and use sanding, grinding, polishing and finishing tools and equipment.
• Deburr, grind, sand and polish sheet metal components after cutting, punching, forming or fabrication.
• Visually inspect sheet metal parts, edges, holes, corners and formed features for burrs and imperfections.
• Maintain tools and equipment as required.
• Handle thin-gauge and precision sheet metal parts carefully to prevent scratches, bending, warping or other damage.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions and finish requirements for sheet metal parts.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous sheet metal deburring, grinding, sanding or metal finishing experience required.
• Experience using files, grinders, sanders, Scotch-Brite, deburring tools and polishing equipment preferred.
• Ability to select the appropriate tools and techniques to meet edge-break, cosmetic and quality requirements.
• Previous aerospace or military experience preferred.
• Previous sheet metal fabrication or job shop experience preferred.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
