Sheet Metal Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality metal products, ensuring safety standards and technical specifications are met consistently. Responsibilities

• Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately fabricate sheet metal components.
• Operate a variety of machinery including press brake machines, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and forming machines to shape and form sheet metal parts.
• Set up and calibrate machining tools and equipment to ensure precise cuts, bends, and assemblies.
• Perform welding using various techniques to join metal parts securely according to safety protocols.
• Measure finished products using precision measurement instruments to verify adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the fabrication process to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering strictly to safety standards in production and safety protocol guidelines.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or in a similar manufacturing role involving sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints accurately.
• Hands-on experience operating machinery such as laser machines, press brakes, hardware presses and laser etching.
• Skilled in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, or arc welding for assembly tasks.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality control purposes.
• Knowledge of shop math and basic math skills necessary for precise measurement and machining calculations.
• Understanding of safety standards related to machine operation, metal fabrication, and workplace safety regulations.
