Sheet Metal Worker

Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and install sheet metal components
• Use hand tools such as snips, hammers, drills, and measuring devices to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal parts with precision
• Install ductwork, ventilation systems, roofing components, and other sheet metal structures according to project specifications
• Perform welding and caulking tasks to ensure secure joins and airtight seals in metal assemblies
• Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate installation schedules and troubleshoot on-site challenges
• Conduct restoration work by repairing or replacing damaged sheet metal elements in existing structures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling tools and materials

Qualifications

• Proven experience with construction projects involving sheet metal fabrication or installation
• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and fastening metal components
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
• Knowledge of construction-related trades such as carpentry, drywall installation, plumbing, flooring installation, tile laying, painting, or restoration is a plus
• Familiarity with welding techniques and schematics is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites and metalworking environments
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting on-site issues

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
