Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Drywaller to perform drywall installation, finishing, painting, demolition, and general construction work at active job sites. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, craftsmanship, productivity, and teamwork.

The Drywaller will complete assigned work according to project specifications and quality standards while assisting less-experienced team members as needed. This position reports to the Lead Drywaller or on-site Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable job-site safety standards.
• Complete assigned work according to established quality and safety expectations.
• Hang, tape, finish, sand, and paint drywall efficiently and accurately.
• Perform demolition and job-site preparation work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project instructions.
• Safely operate hand and power tools required for assigned tasks.
• Inspect and operate aerial equipment, skid steers, and forklifts when authorized and properly trained.
• Unload, organize, store, and stage materials for job-site operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Help guide and support less-experienced team members.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other job-site personnel.
• Perform additional construction-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• At least five years of professional drywall or related construction experience.
• Demonstrated experience hanging, taping, finishing, sanding, and painting drywall.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Knowledge of accepted construction practices and workplace safety regulations.
• Ability to follow detailed and complex instructions.
• Sound judgment and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify the proper tools and equipment for each assignment.
• Willingness and ability to travel to assigned job sites.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule of approximately 40–70 hours per week based on project needs.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding construction environment.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, reliability, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a construction team.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, climb, kneel, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in environments where temperature, weather conditions, dust, and noise levels may fluctuate.
• Ability to see, hear, and communicate clearly with coworkers and other job-site personnel.
• Near visual acuity sufficient to review plans, instructions, and written documentation.
• Ability and willingness to wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work safely around construction tools, machinery, and active job-site operations.
