Shift Process Operator

Established in 1976, Industrial Chemicals Ltd are a privately owned Chemical Manufacturing Company. Employing over 500 staff across its network of UK manufacturing sites, with an on-going re-investment programme to improve Health & Safety, efficiency and business development, ICL are leaders in the Industry and key suppliers to many of the UK’s leading Water Treatment Companies.

We are recruiting for a Shift Process Operator at our Port Clarence Site, who are responsible for ensuring that the day to day running of the operation is safe, on quality and on time to fulfil customer demands.

Tasks include:

Key Accountabilities:

· Ensure all routine checks, daily reports and sample regimes are followed

· Follow the procedures in the Safety, Quality, and Environmental systems to ensure compliance with all standards for the plant

· Ensure daily plant checks are completed, and reported on FSI

· Identify & report on areas of improvement and all safety related issues including near miss and incidents using PRIME

· Be a permit issuer

· Ensure adequate risk assessments and safe systems of work are completed for all activities

· Help implement and continuously develop the preventative maintenance program (CMMS) for the site

· Follow a rigorous inspection program for all equipment on site

· If needed act as Site Incident or Main Controller

· Follow all instructions given to them from the site incident controller or the site main controller

· Assist with the communication on site as requested by the site incident controller or the site main controller

· Ensure good housekeeping standards are keep on the plant

· Any other reasonable duty as identified by the ICL senior management team to satisfy business needs, within the role holders capability & with sufficient training.

Hours: As this is a 24/7 site you are required to work on a 4 On, 4 Off shift pattern which will include shifts covering nights and weekends and bank holidays

Shift Pattern: 2 Days 06:00am - 18:00pm, 2 Nights 18:00pm - 06:00am

Pay: £42,000.00-£42,195.00 per year
